I believe in freedom , as it’s an important gift in life.

Living in an occupied country is terrible , I must say , the fact that everyday I have to pass a checkpoint just to go to my school.

“ No one understands us , they think we’re the criminals while in reality , we’re the victims.” Says a resident in the old city.

Yet we still live , sometimes it feels suffocating , but we’ve been under injustice for above 60 years , so we’re used to it.

“ I cannot visit my mother’s grave because she was buried behind the checkpoints , and I hold a green ID , which stops me from visiting those areas.” -Alia

I’m going to end this by saying those very simple words : I’m sorry.
