Simpletons in Dubai

I enjoy reading about paradoxes — it is a challenge for my mind as I try to make sense of two seemingly opposite ideas. It has been just over a week in this city of glamour and I’m slowly realizing how my years of paradox readings are coming into use. Now that I find myself living a paradoxical life — simple Z in extravagant Dubai — each moment offers an opportunity to refine and grow.

I tell myself that this will be exhilarating, ‘How rewarding this would be, if I am able to resist the delusions of this city for something tangible?’

But like we all know, delusions are tricky. They lure you in when you are weak and before you know it, the quicksand sucks you deep. Ah, the harder the challenge, the more exciting the game.
