For me, the best argument against delegating humanity to a box of switches is this:

Art is the self-directed process of becoming. What is produced by art is precisely the expanded spirit of the artist herself.

Works of art are just the “blazes” tied to trees to mark a trail taken by someone on the adventure of their lives. They are not the adventure or the goal of the journey.

Finally it must be said that no computer or algorithm can have an adventure, or a life.
