“DeMarcus Cousins ruined Nik Stauskas … or almost did.”

This is laughable. The only person who ruined Nik Stauskas is Nik Stauskas. He is not a NBA caliber athlete. Similar to the NFL, when your teams are losing, there is always a blame on a lockerroom cancer- but as soon as you start winning noyone ever mentions this cancer.

The fact of the matter is that Kings have drafted atrociously since drafting Cousins. There is no evidence that Jimmer Freddette, Thomas Robinson, Ben Mclemore, Nik Stauskas, Wiley Cauley-Stein, or George papaa are any good. Perhaps, you could say Cousins ruined them if a single one became good somewhere else- but they haven’t. Isn’t a better explanation that they are just not good? And, as mentioned earlier, if a team had as many lottery picks, and still sucked wouldn’t there neccessarily be a “locker room cancer”?

Maybe Cousins is such a cancer, but Im willing to give him a pass and a chance now, because it seems like the Kings were just horrific drafters
