What is this going to be like? So I understand now there are two shows a week from Pod Saves America discussing current political events. However, here when all the shows are close together and sometimes there are two shows- so are these like reruns?

Part of the mystique of podcasts is that, in all genres, they are just a group of friends talking about interesting stuff they heard about. How will this work when there is no in between time, and second shows. It’s not like you can have two spontaneous conversations about the same thing right after one another. You guys will get bored?

I do though applaud the idea, because even if done on a small scale, the idea of “podcast” concerts is extremely innovative! (and to be a hater, hosting a podcast live multiple times seems a little bit extreme, because all a podcast is, is hearing people talk. However, I very much enjoy Pod Saves America, and maybe like others, I would like to show my enjoyment to other people. After every show, I am largely left knowing that Republicans are generally crazy- but very rarely do I hear a discussion about what we should do politically (other than protesting, which I do think is of truly questionable value. Dirty Dean Heller is a great example. All of his supports and his base stand for Republican values, and for the people he meets with, it’s not protestors. If he votes for the repeal of ACA, all of his donors, his lifelong party support him in the next election. If he votes to keep the ACA, he gets by applauded by Democrats- democrats who still won’t vote for him, and have no discussion with Dean Heller. You frequently argue that protestors have made a huge difference- I am not sure. Even with Lisa Murkowski, her first comments were “I don’t run for reelection until 2022”- meaning, that politically, the protestors did not change her.) For example, I would like a discussion about things like, if Democrats should actually campaign for a guy like Roy Moore over Luther Strange in AL senate race. Of course, Moore’s views are abhorrent to most democrats, but his voting record in the Senate will be largely the same as Luther Strange. Strange is Trump’s candidate- and so much of the Republican party is scared of Trump- as you often mention. If Trump loses in a political campaign, I think you are going to start seeing more senatorial defections. Right now, Trump has a sort of 16–0ish feel- Republicans don’t really believe he can be defeated. Its looks to me like Moore will win, so I’m sure Trump will jump ship, but his frequent campaigning for Strange-failing- right now won’t be forgotten by the Flake’s, Heller’s, Murkowski etc.

Wow my bad for going on. I just get started talking about this stuff and I can’t stop lol. Id love to be on the show and talk politics haha.
