Anil Dash​ is a neighbor of mine. We eat at many of the same places and read each other’s Foursquare​ tips. We also both go back a ways on the internet, with the result that we both have followers we don’t know, who probably don’t know why they are following us. This piece isn’t for everyone, and I suppose some people could misread it as bragging (it’s anything but!), but I love and relate to what Anil says about random pseudo-fame on the internet, and what it might actually be good for.
