Seattle didn’t run the ball less because they wanted Wilson to throw, it’s because they had no other choice. The run game in 2015 dropped because of the continuing deterioration of the o-line and injuries to Lynch and then Rawls. The run game fell off a cliff in 2016 because the o-line continued to decline, the RBs were even less healthy, and Wilson provided almost no run threat most of the year due to injury. Seattle will almost certainly run more zone read next year by the simple fact that Wilson will be fully healthy again.

As far as play action goes, Seattle was actually MORE effective using play action in 2016 than they were in 2015 (per Football Outsiders, play action yards per play improved from 5.7 to 8.6)
