Design of a Golf Course

A Golf Course normally follows a natural landscape but sometimes modifications become necessary. A successful design is both playable and aesthetically appealing. The Golf Course layout follows the following traditional guidelines:

1) A golf Course most commonly contains 9 to 18 holes.

2) The greens are preferably arranged closed to the tee boundary of the next playable hole so that while playing a round the travel time is minimized and shorter and longer holes can be mixed easily.

3) If the area is complex then two holes can share the same tee box, fairway and even green if required.

4) The Eighteen-holes of a golf Course is traditionally broken down into Front 9 Holes and Back 9 holes.
