I think when the bible says we were made in God’s image, he didn’t mean man… he meant WOMAN.

I’ve seen strong men. I’ve seen strong men brave through difficult circumstances and persevere against great odds. I’ve seen the strongest of men knock other strong men down. Brute force!! Brute strength. Yes. I’ve seen strong men.

I’ve seen strong men bought to tears. I’ve seen the shield break. I’ve looked into the eyes of a heartbroken man. Once strong and proud. Now a shell.

Not a shell forever. No! But something leaves him in the event of a heartbreak.

The thing that makes a Baritone voice reduce to a near whisper.

Women!!!

A woman is every mans safe haven at some point. As a child, who’d you cry to when you fell and skinned your knee? Who’d you cry to when you got bullied at school? Despite her femininity, your mother/ grandmother was always your safe haven. You felt secure and a good mother made sure you weren’t insecure. She kissed every boo boo and cured every tummy ache. She was graceful, strong (not in the male sense but arguably more effective), sympathetic, and above all… Empathetic.

A man’s first crush. She made you do things you never knew you would, feel things you didn’t understand, act weird. You’d smell her scent in a breeze as she walked by and immediately fall under her spell over and over again. You picked on her because you were too juvenile to understand what you were feeling. You might’ve jumped rope with her or simply messed her up on purpose while she jumped with friends. She was your first kiss and you will never forget her name although you’ve kissed a lot of girls since. It was something special. College girlfriend. During finals, she’s the one you wanted to talk to when you weren’t confident in yourself. She’d pep talk you and make you feel like you could debate Quantum mechanics with Stephen Hawking. A feeling you never could describe. You never could understand. Love…. You wanted to protect her. The world is harsh and you found solace in her smile. Beauty in her eyes. Prodigiously exuberant. Vivacious! A woman.

She was graceful, strong (not in the male sense but arguably more effective), sympathetic, and above all… Empathetic.

Empathy isn’t taught amongst males. In fact it’s often frowned upon in the male community. Males are pretty much black and white. We’re to be hard asses at all times. 9 times out of 10 when you got picked on or punched and came home in tears, the person you heard “Next time he hits you, you hit him back.” Or “You beat his ass or imma beat yours” was a man.

Your mother kissed you and simply comforted you. She felt your hurt and countered it with understanding and love. God is said to be an empathetic God. Women are born with an affinity for the human needs. I’ve seen women carry life physically and mentally. I’ve seen women destroy lives as well.

As men, it’s in our nature to protect the woman we love. Similar to how people protect their beliefs. When we get burned by a woman though, it’s the equivalent to feeling like God has turned his back on us. We stop believing. We become cold. Not to say a good woman can’t bring us back. A woman can make anything happen. Empathy, sympathy, and forgiveness comes natural in women, but not men. Those are huge traits of God that the bible describes him has possessing.

As far as I’m concerned, if we break down our feelings about God, and the traits we know God has, it’s not farfetched to believe that when God said “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness.” He meant Wo-MAN. A woman is the beginning and could be the end in various ways. A woman can make more happen than any man with any number of soldiers in his army. Man is prideful and egotistical naturally. Which would explain why despite all I’ve just said, in the bible, women are always commanded to be subservient to men. To cater to the ego? It’s not crazy to think that. It’s common knowledge that the bible has been tampered with over the years. Am I crazy? Maybe. But this seems feasible.
