This is pretty incoherent. You raise legitimate doubts about a 700 mph train getting buy-in from wealthy suburbs. Then from that you deduce that Musk’s real goal may be cross-country freight rather than inter-urban passenger. But you don’t address any pros or cons of a high-speed ground freight network. Instead you jump to tar-sands and fainting southern governors, basically tarring Musk by association.
I’m not defending Musk, but neither are you presenting any case against him. If you have one, by all means let us hear it.
