Issue #15

Welcome to issue №15 of the Zero Newsletter, our fork special.

Our testnet has successfully completed all of its runs to feature the Development Fund, Block Halvings and 17 Million Max Supply.

We invited the pools to take part in a public testnet to ensure a smooth transition across to the mainnet in the lead up to our historic fork September 15, block height 412,300 and all has gone well. The only issue encountered was a compile on an earlier version of Ubuntu for Linux, but Cryptoforge had this closed out in a matter of a couple of hours as the Linux binaries were compiled on a newer version.

All pools and exchanges have been contacted and all are supporting the fork. It’s a bit of a logistical juggle, with 6 exchanges and over 10 pools, but we got there with directing the flow of information correctly for efficiency.

#ATTENTION# IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT FOR SWING AND SIMPLE WALLET USERS!

Now, there is one super important step that you have to follow too for the fork,that was displayed in a recent tweet from the Zero Twitter account and also on Telegram etc.That is to do the following: (if you are using the web or mobile wallets, then you do not need to fret as this does not apply to you!)

Please remember that if you have any issues at all, we will be on standby up to, during and of course after the fork. Please feel free to contact us on Telegram, Discord, BTC talk, Twitter, wherever you need to in case of unexpected problems.

We are also running our competition that can see not only our historic fork named after your Twitter handle, but the chance to win 250 ZER ($50 in today’s climate).

It’s pretty simple indeed. All you have to do is retweet the relevant tweets (below), join our Telegram channel and then comment ‘done’ in Telegram.

A big thank you to the volunteers in the Zero Marketing Team who have been donating their time to making infographics, presenting ideas, creating landing pages with fork information and also creating the awesome videos that you see getting around in the lead up to the fork.

The lengths at which people are happy to go whilst volunteering truly are astounding, and really shine such a great light on this community. A sincere ‘Thank You’ to you all.
