Life’s tapestry is woven with threads of many hues,
Some vibrant joys, some tear-stained, somber blues
But amidst the chaos, a whisper soft and light,
The language of butterflies, a love taking flight
In my youth, I chased grand gestures, love a raging fire,
A tempest of emotions, a passionate desire
Blind to the subtle signs, the gentle fluttering wings,
The language of butterflies, the beauty that love brings
Years etched their wisdom, tempered the fiery soul,
Taught me the language of silence, to let the heart unfold
In a quiet park, beneath a canopy of green,
A butterfly landed, a love story unseen
It perched upon a rose, wings painted with the dawn,
A kaleidoscope of colors, a love newly born
Its delicate antennae, a silent, tender touch,
The language of butterflies, I understood so much
Love’s not a battlefield, nor a storm-tossed sea,
It’s the quiet comfort, the solace meant to be
A shared glance, a knowing smile, a hand held ever near,

Now, with a weathered heart, I see the world anew,

In the way, a bird sings to its mate, a melody so sweet,
Love’s unspoken language, a rhythm hearts complete
We may not need grand pronouncements, or promises to hold,

In the way sunlight dances on leaves, a gentle, dappled light,
Love’s essence revealed a simple, pure delight
So, let your heart be open, to the whispers on the breeze,
