Words cannot describe what a lifeless body looks like after being gunned down. Those of us who’ve seen such scenes know they cannot be unseen. There aren’t enough tears for the families who lost brothers, sisters, sons and daughters in Orlando. Those who view this as anything other than the greatest of human tragedies only expose their own bigotry. When someone dies for being who they ‘are’ or ‘represent’, it robs each and every one of us our unalienable rights to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. If now isn’t the time for every American to embrace the LGBT community, when will it be?
