Good bye Rackspace. Hello Digital Ocean!
I’ve been wanting to try out FreeBSD in production for some time now. Rackspace doesn’t offer FreeBSD as an option for their cloud servers, and so I’ve decided to switch to Digital Ocean, which provides FreeBSD. Not only will I be able to run FreeBSD, but I’ll also be saving about $15/month.

Along with changing the service provider and operating system I’m running, I switched from lighttpd to nginx. I have also removed a lot of legacy domains like zachera.no-ip.org, zachera.com, and others that I no longer use. These domains were receiving about 10 requests a week, mostly from crawl bots.
Most of my older projects can be found on my GitHub. If you can’t access a particular page that I used to host, please feel free to e-mail me.
