Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves

Isaac F. Marcosson, a journalist who interviewed hundreds of celebrities, declared that many people fail to make a favorable impression because they don’t listen attentively. “They have been so much concerned with what they are going to say next that they do not keep their ears open. … Very important people have told me that they prefer good listeners to good talkers, but the ability to listen seems rarer than almost any other good trait .”

Being a good listener is not so hard, you just should be interested in a man you listen. I think I am a good listener, there are so many interesting people around me, and even my friends, teachers, parents etc. so I listen the story of everyone with pleasure.

Listening a partner is a very effective way to make people like you, because partner thinks that you a very good interlocutor, even if you don’t talk.

In the future being a good listener will help me to build strong relationships with clients, employees, superiors etc. So, my task is to develop skill of being a good listener.
