Hi there! Welcome back to my travelling blog.

From the historical sights to the incredible fashion to the intimate cafe, and lastly, but certainly not least, the indulgent desserts, Bukhara is such a captivating city of Magnificent Uzbekistan.

Today is our 3rd day and we discover one of the historical buildings of Bukhara, which named Modari Khan madrasah.

The Kosh-madrasah (‘double madrasah’) in Bukhara is a complex of two 16th-century madrasahs situated on one axis and facing each other. The Abdullah Khan and Modari Khan Madrasahs form a typical Central Asian ensemble built by order of Abdullah Khan to become one of the best educational institutions in Bukhara at the time.

The Modari-Khan was dedicated to the mother of the ruler, and its name can be translated as “the mother of the Khan”. Abdullah Khan Madrasah is an imposing structure, the third largest madrasah in Bukhara after Kukeldash and Miri-Arab. The central facade includes a high portal amply decorated with many-coloured majolica tiles.

We will continue to learn our history, ancient monuments and I recommend you to continue following me to know about them and our adventures during these practical lessons.
