Expanding my knowledge in public speaking

Recently I caught myself on a thought that reading book is not enough. I should do something else if I want to improve my skills. So I started to search out different ways. The best finding for me was TED talks :)

What I liked the most was how speakers were able to make people think that their ideas are really interesting and worthwhile. Also, I paid attention on how speakers deliver information using tone, relevant pauses, volume of sound, intonation, body language and of course — eye contact.

These things are really important, because they bring clearness to speech, good understanding and feedback from public.

Therefore, I recommend you to watch TED talks. In addition, I found it useful to see how speakers there use their own PowerPoint presentations and how they describe them in understandable way. In my opinion, every speaker should have such ability, because nowadays we have a huge source of information and you just can’t confine by only telling it, you should also visualize it.
