Guide for Registering zkSync Name Service

Step 1: Enter zkSync Name Service website

Please enter the website https://zkns.domains/, and proceed on clicking Launch App.

Step 2: Connect your Wallet

Once you have launched the app, ensure that your network is connected to the zkSync chain.

At the top right corner, connect your wallet by using Metamask or Argent.

Step 3: Registering your .zk Domain Name

You can freely input any characters into the designated box.

• To the right, you’ll find a section where you can verify the availability of your desired domain name. If it’s marked as “available,” simply click on domain to proceed with the next step.

• Don’t forget to check the information about the Registration period below. You can click “+” to extend your registration period.

• Please make sure that your domain name is entered correctly, and click the button “Request To Register with ETH” below.

Step 4: Confirm Transaction

• Once you have verified the details, select the option “confirm” to complete the transaction.

• After a few minutes, You will see the green Notification below, which indicates that the process has been successfully completed.

Step 5: Managing your Registration Name

The term “reverse record” usually refers to a smart contract that enables the process of mapping from a blockchain address (eg, 0x1234…) to a blockchain domain name.

• If you need to set up the reverse record, you need to click on “My Profile” and find the white input box.

• Choose the domain you want to set up.

• Click “Save”.

• Confirm the transaction.

Step 6: Setting up the Record

A record maps a human-readable domain name to an Ethereum address.

• By clicking “My Profile”, you can verify your newly acquired .zk domain name following your registration.

• Locate the domain name you have recently registered and select it to access its details and make any necessary edits.

• Edit the ETH address to be your forward resolution.

• Click “Confirm”.

Step 7: Viewing your Registration Name on NFT marketplaces

• We have collaborated with Mint Square where the collection of zkSync Name Service is verified. On the top right side, you can click the wallet icon to connect your wallet.

• Click “Connect Wallet” and view your “Profile”.

• Finally, you can see your verified newly created .zk name in the “Collected” area.
