EMERGENCY NOTES ON THE ONGOING GENOCIDE IN GAZA

The Zionist Nation-State is nothing more than a Racist Settler-Colonial Project established in 1948 CE in the Islamicate by Euro-American Racist Colonisers. The Amoral White West now demands that the Rest of the World align itself with Zionism and support its inherently genocidal activities against the non-White Palestinian Arabs.

Aslamu’alaykum folks. I write at this moment in time with a burdened heart — the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip are currently undergoing a medieval-esque siege (so much for modern material “progress”…) conducted mercilessly by the Fascist Nation-State of Israel — a Racist Settler-Colonial proxy project planted into the Islamicate in 1948 CE to serve White Western interests in that region known as “the Middle East” and across the world.

We are currently witnessing a live GENOCIDE unfold on our television screens and on our social media platforms, consciously sponsored by powerful political Western actors and media outlets. The Israeli occupying aggressor is bombing the hell out of the Gaza Strip, carpet bombing any defenceless Palestinian below with sheer disregard for any sense of ethics and morality. Hospitals, mosques, schools and any potential place of refuge are now death traps. Electricity, water supply and internet access has brutally been cut off — a complete blockade by land, air, sea and digital has been effected. The Gazans have been told by their Oppressors to flee their homelands once again and away into the Egyptian Sinai, or face certain death by their wet and bloody hands. Truly unprecedented in one respect but undoubtedly decades in the making if one traces back the Isnād chains to the 1948 Nakba.

In direct response to an unprecedented military operation launched by Hamas from the Gaza Strip which has officially killed over 1,300 Israelis (at the time of writing; this will inevitably increase as the weeks go by), the Zionist Coloniser has now adopted an assymetrical “Exterminate all the Brutes” overt genocidal policy towards the besieged Palestinians who have been bravely resisting extermination, disposession, eviction at the hands of their Oppressors for decades. The Nakba has never stopped; it is an ongoing event and now it is intensifying. The Civilised “Secular Liberal Democracies” of the Colonial-Modern White West which love to lecture the Rest about the “Universal” virtues of Human Rights, Rule of Law and Order and Justice have truly exposed themselves for who they really are.

We are witnessing the “only democracy in the Middle East” carrying out explicitly stated genocidal activities upon the Native Palestinian populations, aided and abetted by fellow democracies from around the civilised world. It turns out then that these secular liberal democracies can be much more violent and genocidal compared to any premodern or “medieval” polity that they self-perceive as being superior to in every aspect, including in the moral domain. The supporters of these Colonial-Modern Nation-States, backed by Concrete Hard Power, have simply refined the violence and manufactured the consent to make it seem legitimate, respectable and desirable.

In doing so, the Colonial-Modern Political Spectrum has collapsed on itself. Those associated with the LEFT have proven their deceit. They are not interested in genuine decolonisation, not willing to struggle when the going gets tough. They have been either silent, AWOL or playing the “neutral” game of Two Side-ism (You cannot, however, attempt to balance between Haqq/Bātil. The time now is to pick sides, and if you hesistate long enough, you will inevitably fall into Bātil). The Lefties clearly do not have Muslim interests in mind, and they will happily abandon Muslims in times of need without many regrets. Those associated the RIGHT, on the other hand, have simply intensified their already-existing overt commitments to White Supremacy, Islamophobia, Orientalism and their unrepentant hatred towards Palestinians resisting. The only positive one could take away from this rapid development is that Muslims located in the West will have to pause their calls for any pragmatic alliances with the Right. Not much to celebrate though. There is no real centre-ground anymore either: Muslims have been left in the lurch, on their own.

Regarding Palestine, the LEFT and RIGHT factions have mutually decided to settle upon normative Colonial-Modern foundations: Racism/White Supremacy, Colonialism, Fascism, Islamophobia, Orientalism and the like. Regular talk of “Universal” abstract ideals e.g., “Justice” have been thrown out just like that. Whatever moral (sic) credibility the White West possessed a week ago has been irreversibly shattered in our increasingly Multipolar epoch. Both the LEFT and RIGHT are evidently revealed to be the two wings of the same diseased Colonial-Modern Bird — there are no real differences between them, essentially, except that the Liberal Fox is naturally more deceitful and cunning than the Conservative Wolf. The Muslims must realise that we are for all intents and purpose on our own, barring notable exceptional non-Muslim Western individuals/organisations who genuinely care about Palestine and willing to self-sacrifice for the sake of upholding Justice.

The Coloniser is utterly impoverished by being monolingual. It only knows one language — VIOLENCE. Existential Palestinian COUNTER-VIOLENCE has fundamentally changed the equation: it is obvious to everyone that decades of non-violent peaceful protests and begging has achieved absolutely little. In fact, it has contributed towards ensuring and consolidating a brutal status quo of colonial genocidal violence, land dipossession, theft of local resources and structural blocking of Palestinian agency to shape their destinies how they would like to, without Zionist impediments. NON-VIOLENT approaches towards achieving genuine Peace with Justice has led to the tragic realities that we are currently witnessing right now. The Palestinian Resistance has deeply unsettled the hegemonic and imperial-friendly Liberal Paradigm (perhaps this is another reason why many “peace-loving” liberals have come out in condemnation of decolonial Palestinian resistance).

Meanwhile neighbouring Arab State regimes around Palestine are, for the time being, deliberately preventing the liberation of that land and its indigenous peoples. Egypt, the most powerful Arab State militarily, refuses to intervene directly and prevent bloodshed. President Sisi’s Praetorian Dictatorship actually gave the Zionist State advanced intelligence warnings about the impending military operations eventually conducted succesfully by Hamas. The colonised United Arab Emirates once again shamelessly reveals its allegiance to Zionism and a complete disregard for Palestinian — Arab — lives. Saudi Arabia has ended normalisation talks and offered some verbal/written condemnations of Israel but is yet to do anything concretely to step in when in matters. The rest of the Ummah at the local, grassroots-level have come out in full, unconditional support for the Palestinians but this expected development fundamentally reveals the glaring contradictions and lack of mutual correspondance between the Ruled and the Rulers throughout the Islamicate.

The “Peace Treaties” that Egypt (1979, Camp David Accords) and Jordan (1994, concomittant with the Oslo Peace talks) signed with the Zionist Nation-State neutralised any opposition to Settler-Colonial expansion and oppression of the Palestinians. The Oslo Accords (1993–1995) led to the establishment of the increasingly corrupted Palestinian Authority, effectively a Native Collaborationist proxy allowing Palestinians to keep themselves in check (exclusively the West Bank these days) and preventing liberation indefinitely. The contemporary Abraham Accords that “normalised peaceful relations” with the Zionist Nation-State shamefully signed by the Emirates, Bahrain, and Morocco (2020), and Sudan (2021) (thus far) merely represents the continued dehumanisation of the Palestinians, an abnormalisation of their resistance, and a firm disinterest in supporting any inherently decolonial and Islamic opposition to Zulm. All of these countries, whose politicians are overtly aligned with Tāghūt, have consciously opted to surrender whatever sovereignty they have in Colonial-Modernity to Zionism and White Supremacy, as well as their economies and resources which only strengthens the Oppressors, encouraging them to continue oppressing the Palestinians without hesitation or fear of reprisals. All of this proves that Israel is nothing more than a Racial Settler-Colonial Nation-State implanted into the Islamicate to dominate the Muslims and other non-White non-Muslims e.g., Arab Palestinian Christians, humiliate and/or kill them, steal their resources and ensure that White Western hegemony remains all-powerful and lasting in that region.

Credit where credit is due – only Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the current Supreme Leader of Iran and its Head of State, has openly backed the Palestinian Resistance. Thus far, no other Muslim Head of State has spoken up unconditionally, and that silence alone speaks volumes about what is happening and more importantly WHY the Palestinians are being massacred with absolute impunity. Hezbollah in Lebanon also voices regular support for the Palestinian Cause and has already engaged in violent, reciprocal clashes with the Zionists this past week. As it stands, the Shi’ites in our Ummah have taken de facto bold, firm political, military and moral leadership in the cause to assist the Oppressed. The Sunni majority worldwide must take note and follow their footsteps in mutual solidarity and cooperation to assist the Palestinians. Alhamdulilah though, while Sunnis and Shi’ites might have deep, underlying sectarian and theological tensions, when it comes to Palestine, they reveal themsleves to be one brotherhood united in firm solidarity with the Oppressed — Palestine unites the otherwise disunited Ummah. This is why the Kuffār and Secular Munāfiqūn hate Palestine and wish that the issue quietly withers away, for it upsets any Nation-State dominance and reminds Muslims that they are yet to decolonise in any meaningful sense.

Finally, let it be known forcefully: THERE ARE NO “DOUBLE STANDARDS” at work here but TWO RACIAL LOGICS: One privileging logic for the White Westerners (see the mass support for the East European Ukrainians who “look like us”; coded language for White folks), and one for the Wretched of the Earth who are deemed fit to be subjected to brutality, colonisation and genocide by White folks. The powerful White Supremacist Zionist Mushrikūn are not guilty of “hypocrisy”; they are quite content to be blatant about who they really are. Ergo, they are not hypocrites, they do not hide anything, and they do not operate according to the same moral objective standards we might hold ourselves to. They are not Munāfiqūn in any meaningful sense, who hide their deceit and deception. Continuing to talk about these amoral actors within a moral framework will only continue to perpetuate misunderstandings and confusion about the real problems currently in play. Muslims ought to be more wary about their language choices on this front.

The White West is utterly amoral to its core. It effectively operates according to a Nietzschean Beyond Good and Evil framework, driven by a Will-to-Power Supremacist outlook wherein everyone and everything must submit to it exclusively, forced to make Sajdah to it. This is clear and manifest Shirk, in Islamic parlance. The Secular Liberal Democracy Paradigm is but a thick mask disgusing its true Fascist, Racist, Imperalist, Colonising and Supremacist nature. Alhamdulilah, this continues to expose itself to the Rest of the World, who are increasingly becoming more and more unconvinced of undemocratic, dictatorial Western leadership of the globe. A Multipolar World Order wherein the White West is effectively decentred only favours the Palestinian Islamic struggle to decolonise and to self-determine its own worldly destiny independent of Zionism. This is a transformative development that Muslims worldwide must urge on going forwards.

Effectively, the powerful minority White West + its many proxies and client states. Powerful Minority > Powerless Majority

IMMEDIATE LESSONS & NASĪHĀT DRAWN FROM THIS EGREGIOUS STATE OF AFFAIRS:

• White Western discourses around morality, ethics and human rights are all bullshit. A useful Chādor masking for the injustices they desire to perpetuate onto non-White, non-Westerners. Abandon them before they abandon you. Develop your own identities, narratives and traditions from your own native peoples, epistemologies, histories etc. Sincerely aim for Independence and Autonomy
• We live firmly within a racialised and deadly World Order where the non-White, non-West spaces are a Dar Al-Harb Zone of non-Being. Palestinian/Arab/Muslim/Non-White lives do not matter. Zionists, Racist White Westerners and their proxies worldwide e.g., the Hindutva are content to uphold the Metaphysical Shirk of Global White Supremacy. This is the diseased Colonial-Modern world that we are all forced to inhabit for the time being
• The Colonial-Modern World is not premised on Anarchy (i.e., that no sole power dominates the Westphalian System of Nation-States and that everyone engages in egotistical self-help) or Equality, but Hierarchy. And it is a deeply Racialised Hierarchy. W. E. B. Du Bois: “The problem of the twentieth century is the problem of the color-line — the relation of the darker to the lighter races of men in Asia and Africa, in America and the islands of the sea”. The Problem of the 21st Century remains the problem of the “color-lines”, and Palestine is such a prominent faultline which is sharpening as they manifest. Racial Unipolarity survives intact and refined even with the ongoing shift to structural Multipolarity. Get ready for an escalation in State repression and surveillance of non-White Muslims, a rise in Global Islamophobia and Racism everywhere. The pragamatic and promiscious State apparatus will never be on your side
• “I condemn both sides” AKA Two Side-ism is basically the Settler-Colonial version of “All Lives Matter”, designed to delegtimise the inherent right of the Native Palestinians to resist colonisation of their lands and genocide of themselves. Call this out whenever and wherever you see it
• The hegemonic White Supremacists that rule the West (and indeed the world) are Fascist, Pharaonic Dictators to the core. They will not change their ways, they are drunk on material, worldly Power and they only know one language — VIOLENCE. The Oppressed can and must launch reciprocating COUNTER-VIOLENCE in self-defence
• “Peaceful” university activism, protests; interntional law and norms etc. have proven to be vacuous, useless and irrelevant. Concrete Hard Power ultimately matters: Would the Palestinians be attacked by anyone if they were politically powerful and militarily strong? No, they are attacked precisely because they lack hard power (for now) to protect themselves from aggresively colonising enemies
• The Secular Liberal Munāfiqūn need to be purged from the ranks of this Ummah. Their loyalty is ultimately to Washington D.C., London, Paris, and Tel Aviv. Not that they had real credibility to begin with but they must not be allowed to lecture Muslims about ANYTHING once this massacre is mercifully over. The Liberal is never a friend of revolutionary and/or decolonial struggles, or Islam. Disavow and delegitimise them. We must purge our Ummah from this compromised lot, lest they continue to hamper our resistance efforts
• Pay attention to those brave and courageous scholars and activists who defend Palestine and are forced to pay for it. SUPPORT THEM IN WHATEVER MANNER POSSIBLE. We also see that in academia, tenure, merit, productivity, shared governance, academic freedom, personal policy — these all mean jackshit in the face of Zionist influence/pressure. Expose those silent Careerists amongst them and disavow any and all association with them, for they are not with us
• The War on Terror (actually, War of Terror by the White West and its proxies against the Moslems) has renewed itself. Déjà vu. It never ended. It is quite literally Back to the Past for Muslims: October 2023 is September 2001 — mass hysteria being whipped up across societies, forced condemnations of the Oppressed, suspected internal fifth column populations, rampant lies and deceit from powerful actors, demonisation of those resisting oppression, Police States encouraging snitching and surveillance; Racism/White Supremacy, Islamophobia, Orientalism, enhanced Statist national security rhetoric and language dictating the narratives, the death of many innocents. Etc. History does not repeat exactly but it sure as hell rhymes…
• 2023 is much more nakedly fascistic than 2001. We have reached a critical historical juncture where any native resistance to palpably unjust powerful Nation-State entities and overt Racist Settler-Colonial projects can now be deemed automatically as “terrorism”, “anti-semitism”, “a national security threat” etc. without effective symmetrical pushback
• Only a Caliphate (a global political formation) can defend Muslims. Not a local and insular Sultanate, Kingdom, Dictatorship, Secular Liberal Democracy etc. occupied with its own internal, egotistical interests. No Nation-State running along a Colonial-Racial Epistemology/Ontology is ever going to support Muslim causes and defend Muslim lives. In witnessing the crass and craven violence done unto the Palestinians, we are collectively learning a harsh lesson the hard way: only Muslims care for Muslims, only Muslims care for Muslim lives, and only Muslims will self-sacrifice for Islam. Imam Al-Ghazali: “the relief of pressing need is a collective duty, resting on the Community as a whole, since a Muslim cannot be allowed to perish”. Muslims globally are two billion strong, a fifth of the human population, yet we find ourselves in Colonial-Modernity impotent bystanders to naked tāghūt. The Honourable Malcolm X: “We are not outnumbered. We are out-organised”
• You do not beg for your Divinely-guarded Rights of freedoms-from-oppression — you take it without apologetics! By any means necessary
• The Racist Zionist Settler-Colonial State is truly a weak cancer tumour that is awaiting decolonial deracination from the region and from the Islamicate. If the Ummah can organise itself politically, militarily, and economically, Muslims could easily overrun it and put an Islamic end to this Racial Supremacist oppression once and for all, and foster a Decolonial Palestine that is Just to all found within it, including non-Zionist Jewish folks
• The resurgence of the Muslims politically, militarily, economically, culturally is dependent upon the collapse of White Western hegemony around the globe. Multipolarity suits the Musulmān.
• Nation-States are fundamentally amoral actors concerned with amassing and preserving worldly power and wealth, at the expense of ethics. Only the foolish, the uniformed and ignorant folks genuinely believe that Nation-State actors actually care about ethics and Divine Pleasure. All discourses around Reason, Anti-Superstition, Progress etc., function as a legitimating mask for an illegitmate project attempting Godhood. This alienating Colonial-Modern Statist framework has no legitimacy in Islam as far as Al-Qur’an and the Shari’a are concerned. Decolonising-attempting Muslims should seriously be pushing to exit Secular Nationalism and Colonial-Modernity
• Palestine = The Litmus Test to test those who are serious about achieving decolonisation, to see who is committed to upholding Haqq or Bātil.
• Palestine, Al-Quds, Masjid Al-Aqsa unites the Ummah, cutting across sectarian/national/ethnic/linguistic/gender/class lines. Palestine is a microcosm of all the problems and struggles the Ummah is facing on the macrocosmic level. In the words of the Decolonial Theorist Salman Sayyid, the present Global Islamophobic World Order desires the Palestinisation of Muslims everywhere. We must resist this together as One Ummah bound together — One God, One Book, One Dīn, One Brotherhood, One Common Destiny. The time now is for Solidarity, not Disputation
• Engage in Digihad to assist the Palestinians online. Call out and rollback Zionist Hasbara wherever it rears it’s ugly head, and relay the verified Palestinian narratives and evidences that align with Haqq & ‘Adl. You will surely be rewarded for this selfless service
• Our enemies are going to label us, regardless of whether we choose to be vocal about Palestine or not. Better to remain principled and steadfast at all times. We will be held to account on this, in this life and the next

WE ARE ALL OCCUPIED…EXCEPT PALESTINE AND THE PALESTINIANS!

Zionist discourses, backed up by Hard Power, define resisting Palestinians as “terrorists” by default (thus rendering them dehumanised and kill-able). The Coloniser does its best not to allow the Natives to be described as anything else, they refuse to let the Palestinians ‘be’.

This is not a brutal fight between “Hamas and Israel” — this is an existential decolonial struggle between the Native Palestinians desperately striking back with whatever means they have against a genocidal, oppressive Racist Settler-Colonial State that seeks their subjugation and/or erasure.

Huntington is perceptively correct…

Palestine represents an active case of ongoing Euro-American Settler-Colonialism. The Nakba in 1948 CE was not a one-off event; it is an ongoing Racist process aided by active complicity and passive silence from the Rest of the (non-White) World.

FINAL IMMEDIATE THOUGHTS

The Kuffār have practiced their version of Walā’ W’al Barā’ by throwing their lot wholeheartedly behind the Zionist State. Will the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ do the same as Allah the Most High commands of us (cf. Q9:1–2)? He is watching to see if we stand up for Haqq & ‘Adl, and if we take a firm stand against injustice (cf. Q4:135; 5:8). This is a now or never moment for the Ummah. What Muslims do/do not do now will define a generation that will most likely be highly radicalised by the egregious events they are forced to bear witness to on live television and social media.

I leave you with this powerful Qur’ānic reminder: Haqq (Truth; one of the Names/Attributes of the Divine) will eventually, inevitably and ineluctably triumph over any and all forms of Bātil (Falsehood) because they are fundamentally not ontological equals. The Zabad (Scum) will be thrown away. This is an ineluctable reality which we all eagerly await to see manifest in our lifetimes. Insha’allah, this will be the case.

The only Reality is Haqq, and the Real is only Allah.

ALLAH the Most High will never forget this. There will be Justice established one way or another, and a Final Reckoning will take place, and it will be sweet.

Palestine will be free(d). The oppressed will inherit Al-Ard and recover their lost lands and resources, lā shak.

Now is the time for much prayer, reflection, vigilance, self-sacrifice and jihād…
