I really like this framing. And the idea of an override button, which is growing on me.

An override button is easier than other mechanisms for evading access restrictions, which means it's more likely to be used. But the experience could be designed. So perhaps time is extended a bit and the owner is notified of the override. That's far better than someone taking a picture of a device where the data is now retained indefinitely and the originator has no idea. Allowing for an override may well improve the security of the shared data by being a system that can be bent instead of having to be broken.
