Having read the memo in question, I don’t think its author is implying that any of his (or her? just kidding) colleagues are unfit for their position. So the largest issue you’re raising — that the simple act of putting these supposedly toxic ideas into writing is destructive to the organisation — doesn’t seem to be entirely true.
The issue the memo author raises is with the education and selection/hiring processes being needlessly discriminating on their “input filter“ side, not that the output they produce is subpar.
If that guy is universally met with similar responses it only proves him right on some of the points he’s making. Atmosphere that silences and shames people like him instead of engaging them in a dialogue is what gave us Trump.
