Five Reasons to attend the South Loop Beer & Cider Fest
The third annual South Loop Beer & Cider Fest is Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Chicago Women’s Park & Gardens. It features 100+ beers and ciders from local and regional craft breweries and cideries.

1. Location, location, location
The South Loop Beer & Cider Fest takes place at the Chicago Women’s Park & Gardens, a beautiful park in the South Loop. It’s a unique setting for a beer festival — there’s nothing better than enjoying brews among the flowers and foliage!

2. Something for everyone
Ever wanted to invite a friend to a beer fest, but they don’t like beer? What about your friends who are gluten-free? No need to worry! This fest features cideries as well as breweries, so there are plenty of options for everyone to enjoy.

3. Craft culture & camaraderie
If you’ve been to a beer fest before, you know the feeling of camaraderie among beer lovers and enthusiasts. Tasting craft brews with others, sharing your thoughts, and often finding new favorites are all part of the fest experience. It’s even better at a smaller fest like this one, where you get more one-on-one time with the brewers and reps, more space to hang out and drink and eat, and lots of breweries and styles to choose from.

4. South Loop solidarity
In 2015, TimeOut Chicago said the South Loop was “becoming Chicago’s hottest craft beer ‘hood” and that’s even more true today than it was three years ago. Breweries such as Motor Row, Vice District, and Baderbrau call the South Loop home, as well as awesome craft beer bars and restaurants. This fest highlights the craft beer culture of the area — come check out what makes it so special and get a taste of the neighborhood.

5. A good cause
The South Loop Beer & Cider Fest is a benefit for the Chicago Women’s Park & Gardens. Proceeds directly support the park. According to the Chicago Park District, the park “honors the contributions women have made to the city throughout its history and provides a quiet respite for the community.”
