The Law of Communication
If you have ever been a part of something that lacks success due to ineffective communication, you can realize the worth of it after the time has passed. Important tasks remain uncompleted because certain team members believe other team members will do that.
Well, I did an assessment on myself after reading a book named “17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork” and I was surprised to know that I was in that area of communication that was not hurting me but It wasn’t helping me much either. I needed to develop myself in that area.
Now, I am planning to improve my level of communication using the 5 tips that include;
- Be proactive
- Be specific
- Over communicate
- Respond as quickly as possible
- Clarify misunderstandings
These tips are really helpful to have an effective communication not only in a team but also with your senior or manager. Telling the matter before eleventh hour, being specific i.e. don’t leave the conversation vague and explaining actual details help a lot while communicating.
