Diets go Against your DNA! Do These 5 Things Instead

Diets limit our nutrition. We are not beings of limitation. We are free, expansive, ever evolutionary, and whole in every aspect of life. We were born to experience abundance, our cells promotes growth and abundance. Diets, on the other hand, promotes lack and puts our cells through cruel punishment. Every single food group is required in order to satisfy and effectively energize our cells.
When I was a professional NBA Dancer I was pressured to be a certain body fat percentage, and as a result, I would limit myself from eating fats, carbohydrates and sugars. I was so happy doing what I loved, that I gave no mind to my health. After about 6 months, to make a long story short, I spent my 21st birthday in bed unable to make the slightest movement (like lifting my head). It was scary, thankfully it only lasted two weeks, but it was the longest two weeks ever! Once I recovered, I began to dig in deep and learn more about nutrition. I researched ways to stay “skinny” while still giving my body the essential vitamins it needed. I also had to reprogram my intestines, due to a low fat diet my colon and intestines had dried up and I was always constipated. >_< The truth is that this whole process was an amazing journey for me to learn proper nutrition.

My body finally recuperated from these nutritional limitations about a year ago; a 4 year process! What I learned, in a nutshell, is that low-fat diets, low-sugar diets or anything that is “low” on something will only lower your energy levels, immune system, and mental health. I delve into different health lifestyles that didn’t promote limitations like, paleo, vegetarian, vegan, etc. Through my research I realized that a sustainable life is a WHOLE one.
