THE BEGINNING

It all started last Summer in a massive loft in Soho. The objective was simple, to take the NFT world by storm with cute digital animals. Zoo was to be the test project for a vision to transform the decentralized space and bring real-world assets on chain. A new protocol to save endangered animals through collateral backed NFTs.

We were disappointed with existing NFTs. We wanted to create something beautiful, with real-world impact that can be accessible to a multigenerational audience. The NFTs should also work in the Metaverse and we hoped by adding emotional intelligence and AI to the animals, we could help elevate the consciousness of the entire planet!

Zoo is a game for all, cute virtual pets that are virtual twins of endangered animals. You can collect 1 of 4 age stages, breed them, hatch the eggs, and feed them. Each time you “feed” them you stake any currency against your NFT, like adding money to a piggy bank. Each time you feed your animal it becomes worth more value and earns more rewards. The new value of your Animal is the collateral value + your rewards earned so far. The only way to get the value back from the animal is to sell it on the Zoo Marketplace or burn the NFT.
