I believe in the unlimited potential of a human mind. The mind that can create solutions to the problems that right now might seem unsolvable; If humans won’t have to do the mundane and routine activities, they will have the ability to solely commit themselves to things that truly matter. And I believe that with the help of AI not only we can abolish the uncreative tasks but also analyze the immense amount of unstructured data in a smart way, giving us access to hidden knowledge that was always there waiting to be put together. AI is a unique technology that is helping to maximize works of thousands and thousand intelligent minds, by discovering those hidden patterns.

AI is already widely used in measuring the impact of global warming on human well being. As a participant in the NASA Space Apps Challenge, I now see a huge potential in using raw satellite data, which can be directly used to work on global environmental problems. My idea was to focus on air pollution around the globe. The solution was aimed at monitoring and finding a correlation between air pollution statistics and human health data on respiratory diseases. It contributes to the third Sustainable Development Goal(SDG 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages). The obtained knowledge from this data analysis identifies the most problematic regions.

Moreover, AI can help with mental health. One of the biggest threats to the emotional well being is cyberbullying. That is why I decided to work on the Kaggle Challenge: Toxic Comment Classification. The results of top contributors to this competition proved that is it possible to process millions of messages and detect various bullying attempts.

Currently, I am interested in the topic of gender equality. It was already proven that the Machine Learning models can learn bias that exists in data. Therefore I want to contribute my knowledge and skills to the task of developing bias-free models. So in the future automated system would not discriminate anyone based on their gender.
