This article is beyond frustrating. How dare you be upset at another person of color for speaking up against racism or cultural appropriation. Dominican, Black American, Jamaican etc it doesn’t matter. At the end of the day, the color of your skin is what matters to a racist, not your origins or where your grandparents are from. Who cares what country her family is from ?! She’s from New York and has experienced the same type of discrimination as Black Americans in New York. She knows what it feels like to be judged on site for being a black woman so she has the right to speak as one.
