She stands in the distance as her lips sparkle in the sun's glare,
The unique features of her voluptuous curves are without compare.
The gentle stroke of her fingers brush through her lush hair,
Tugging at your heart's strings with her seductive stare.
A confidence she exudes with so much flare,
Tempting you ever so closer if you so much dare.

You carve out your words as you begin to prepare,
Seeking out the moment of courage and pause for a quick prayer.
You narrow the distance which you can no longer bear,
Approaching with hesitance and a little scare.
A brief moment of encounter which is often rare,
Only to be greeted with a pretentious look as if she is unaware.
A cold shrug of her shoulders and she vanishes into thin air,
You scan through the crowd in total despair.

Left wondering how she can lack the slightest care,
Then you are reminded that life is quite unfair.
You are suddenly awakened to realize that she was never here nor there,
A world full of illusions with no love to spare.
You gather the broken pieces and begin to repair,
A hopeless romantic living in the memory of her seductive stare.
