The end for BugBountyNotes

Hi there!

I sadly bring you some sad news and that is after a lot of thought I have decided to shutdown BugBountyNotes. The good news is I plan on recreating something & the majority of content on BBN will still be available on my new platform but one important change will be the fact I am opening up more of my time to focus on training companies and introducing them to the world of hackers.

Yes that’s right, I am now going to be working more closely with companies to teach them how working with hackers is beneficial. Not only the results we produce but the knowledge we possess. If you are a British company who is interested in meeting with a hacker and learning how we are hacking you and how hackers can help, please reach out. Also keep your eyes pealed for an event coming in the near future where you will be able to meet me and learn how hackers can help you.

BugBountyNotes was a success in my eyes but one key feature behind it was to allow anyone to submit their own challenges & guides. This was also designed to help me improve my own skills but sadly the amount of challenges being submitted has dropped to zero and right now I am the only one contributing to what I designed as a community project. So I guess in that aspect, the project failed. I am extremely grateful to those who took their time to submit content such as challenges, guides, tutorials and their own writeups.

THANK YOU! ❤

The project hit over 5,500 unique members and over 5,000 challenge submissions across 31 unique challenges and I even ran one live training event in Cambridge (UK) aimed at teaching students, hosted & setup all by myself. In my time mentoring I also hosted 7 mentoring sessions on YouTube, including 2 hands on live hacking (live event simulated). Overall, I am happy with how things have gone but I am ready for the next chapter of my journey.

I know a lot of you have asked about my methodology but the book was designed for my training event and at this moment in time I have no plans to publish my methodology online or any more physical copies. Sorry! This may change in the future.

All of your data on BugBountyNotes will be deleted. The entire database will be deleted and none of your data will be saved.

The server will be shut down within the next 72 hours.

Again, thank you everyone for your support & help with BugBountyNotes. I had fun training/mentoring students and I've had lots of messages over the last year thanking me for helping them find their first bug and I can see a huge improvement in some of you. Keep up the great work and good luck on your journey into the hacker world, the matrix is waiting.

For now I am going to focus on myself and rekt some bug bounty programs but i’m sure you will hear again from me soon. Good luck and happy hacking!
