Day 15: The Loveless Mind

Love is a science, so says the rational brain

To be weighed, measured, and controlled

An accessory to your existing self reign

Like a coat for your body that’s the perfect mold

Or the right radio system for your preordained route

Though what your dry soul really needs is rain to end its drought

But the ego, masquerading as rational, knows only how to love itself

Until

Until you unexpectedly meet that person

And your triple beam no longer adds up

Your theory disproven

Your ego shattered and pieced back together with hers

As if the mosaic of your souls could ever be reduced to an equation

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
