While Everyone Frets About State Censorship, Corporate Censorship Tightens The Noose
Caitlin Johnstone

May have posted this before, but it bears repeating:

“The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum.” — Noam Chomsky

For those asking what can be done, it boils down to training oneself to pause no matter what one hears or sees via the mainstream media, no matter how deeply one agrees with the subject matter/position, and take the time to analyze it thoroughly. Reading Frank Luntz’s WORDS THAT WORK is an excellent idea. So is Chomsky and Herbert’s analysis of government/media collusion, MANUFACTURING CONSENT.

I know it’s frustrating, but we as a people have been so trained not to question what we hear the only solution is to train ourselves out of it.
