Love these! During the depression, my grandfather worked as an artist for some of the great public works that were part of the 30’s. I’ve got a book of his art that details his trip up and down the bridge towers when the cables were first being strung. (no road yet!) Pretty awesome stuff — and still amazing to consider the tools that were used to engineer and build this thing. (Can you imagine building something like that today with slide rules instead of super computers?)
