I think the problem is the American dating culture. It’s noticeable that you only talk about women who are friends and men who are dates. Also you seem to be constantly looking for the perfect man.
You talk about traits that might be inherited from our prehistoric ancestors, so let’s talk about what we think we know about their sex lives. They lived in isolated nomadic tribes, where the only sexual partners were the other members of the tribe, who you had known since childhood. You would probably have sex with all of them to try them out, and then do it again just to check out your original thoughts. You would probably put together a stable of regular partners, but have a go with others when you fancied a change.
All this is possible because you are in a tight knit tribe where mutual trust and respect is important for cohesion of the tribe. It is also possible because sex wasn’t considered any big deal, no more than eating and monogamy was considered selfish.
It might be worthwhile trying to emulate those conditions in a modern context. Just a suggestion.
