Pioneering Entrepreneur Aaron Freeman Creates Opportunity For Himself and Others

A Brooklyn native with Southern hospitality roots, Aaron “A Dolla” Freeman is a successful self-made entrepreneur who is always looking at how he can give back to his community. Inspired by his father, Eddie Freeman, Aaron knew his destiny was to be able to give back to the neighborhood that raised him.

In 1979 Eddie Freeman founded a popular New York City landmark, The Sugar Hill Restaurant and Supper Club. Positively impacted by his father’s work ethic, Aaron knew what he had to do to achieve financial freedom while also helping his community. “I think I was naturally motivated by my entrepreneurial upbringing to see needs and opportunities and find creative ways to address them,” Freeman says.

Aaron noticed how members of his community would have a difficult time finding work after being released from prison, with many of them serving sentences that would never be imposed. Freeman says, “I realized with the right training they could be productive in the construction trades.” This influenced Aaron to start his own business. Today, Freeman’s construction company allows his business to act as the general contractor and helps recently released felons earn a living. Aaron doesn’t let money be his only end game, he says “Think about how you can help your neighbors, your neighborhood, and how you can also uplift people.”

Furthermore, in 2020 Freeman started up his own television streaming channel, BPE.Network. Focused on offering quality content, Aaron gives users access to a variety of entertainment channels whether you are on your phone, or at home watching from your television screen. His channel operates by highlighting different creatives and entrepreneurs coming from marginalized communities. Striving to give others a chance at financial freedom, Aaron is always working to invest more in his community, “Success means providing for my family, uplifting my neighborhood, and helping people win and achieve their wildest dreams,” he says. Freeman’s next goal is to establish a full service sports and entertainment marketing agency, BPE GLOBAL SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT.
