Tired. 24/7. Do you feel like that? If not, you can stop reading now.
I want to dedicate this article for people like me who is completed and utterly exhausted.

Before having a baby, I couldn’t function without at least 8 hours of sleep per day. Nowadays, I am lucky if I get at least 3 hours straight. I am not kidding. I hope I was.

I haven’t slept through for almost a year, and I can still do regular stuff. But the downside is, I’m usually tired mentally and physically. I had time to recharge, but when you have kids, no amount of recharge can reimburse you for the missed hours of sleep you forgo. That’s the ugly truth about being a parent.

On the flip side, I enjoyed being awake because I am next to the most beautiful being. I love looking at my baby. I love the feel of her little body against my flesh. The feeling is surreal. I had to pinch myself to remind myself that it is not a dream.

Now, the biggest question is how we can manage our sleep deprivation? I don’t have an answer for you to be honest. If I have the answer, I wouldn’t be sleep deprived for so long. What I can guarantee you is: this will not last.

Nothing in life lasts forever.

You may not have a choice to not being sleep deprived, but you have a choice in how you react to your situation. I know it’s not easy being tired. Luckily, there are zillions of mothers before us who survived, so we too can make it with less sleep.
