Why did the Indian Embassy organize a special yoga session for Hungarian MP’s?

Politicians doing yoga in a parliament — this sounds strange, isn’t it? But on Tuesday morning Hungarian MP’s and other politicians have had an interesting Chair Yoga session which was organized by the Embassy of India in Budapest, Hungary.

The session was held on the 2nd of October 2018 in the Kálmán Széll Hall — which was fully packed — , by Yoga Teacher of the Embassy, Ankita Sood.

The session for MP’s , included simple yet effective yogic techniques which would help them in managing their stressful schedules. Yoga mats, Yoga t-shirts and books on Mahatma Gandhi were presented to the dignitaries.

Later that day, on Tuesday night the Indian Embassy organized another special event: they coloured the famous Buda Castle with lights.

The reason for these events that Mahatma Gandhi was born 150 years ago and in November there will be the 70th anniversary of Indo — Hungarian relations as well.

The embassy has a busy period: on Thursday (4th of October, 2018) will start the Indian Film Week in Budapest as well.
