Welcome to A-Bit True Fiction, real life stories one step removed.
Maybe you have a story that is too personal to share as a memoir? Or perhaps you played a role in a story about someone you know. Find freedom in disguising yourself and them as characters in a story based on real life. Gain anonymity, mix it up a little, develop an instinct for getting inside other characters, and keep the reader guessing!
Above all, engage us, make us think, make us laugh, make us feel!
Submission Guidelines
- Submissions must follow Medium Rules, and absolutely no AI writing
- Submit unpublished drafts only
- Each story must stand alone as a story, three to ten minutes in length as an ideal
- The story must have a basis in factual events and true life experience
