I May Be Running Out of Gas
I think I need a vacation from my staycation
I’m more than halfway through my August Amsterdam Adventure and had to take the last two days off. There was laundry to do and dishes to wash, but mostly, I just needed a break.
Yesterday, after a four-hour nap, I woke up feeling ill. I had a low-grade fever and felt dizzy. Consequently, I spent the day resting, and I feel a lot better today. I caught up on some writing and will return to bed after my weekly spirituality class this evening.
Am I still on my staycation? Absolutely yes. The way I look at it, all of my experiment's ups and downs would be on an actual vacation, too. At 70 years of age, I am not likely to be able to run around like I did in my 40s.
