  1. Hi-Fi Prototyping: Origami vs. Framer
Good read for designers looking for more power and possibilities, but might be scared of code and noodles.
  2. Design in the Organization: Parts and Wholes
Very interesting paper by Sabine Junginger in which she’s describing a model of how to look at the role of design within an organization.
  3. Sketch is switching to an open file format
This is huge news, it essentially means that anyone (and any application) can read and write Sketch files — not just the Sketch application itself. Excited to see what this will enable.
  4. Design Canada Documentary on Kickstarter
Gary Hustwitt (producer of Helvetica, Urbanized, Objectified) collaborates with a Vancouver designer to showcase Canadian graphic design, something humble Canadians obviously haven’t done yet. Vignelli makes an appearance.
  5. Yves Behar designed a new kind of TV for Samsung
… and it is oh so wonderful. When you’re not using it to watch TV — which is most of the time — it displays art.

(There really is no point in linking to John Maeda and team’s annual Design in Tech report because you’ve all seen it by now anyways, right? If you haven’t you should definitely do so.)

👋 Hade Ciao and have a nice weekend everyone!
