This is a poem about two strangers bumping into each other.
I go right
you do the same
I go left,
still;
it happens again
We pause
for a bit
to look the other
in the eyes
A moment
to catch a glimpse
A moment
to decide,
We don’t say
any words
We each
pick a side
Yet
the results
are the same
We stand still
again
we both apologise
Our lips,
parting
to give a smile
Then again
it’s time;
to choose a path
to go by
But this time,
we talk
to each other
And we both choose
the right path.
