I am the she
in every elegy
written in agony

I am the she
depicted as blurred
in your old pictures

I am the she
singing happy love songs
while weeping sorrows

I am the she
showing laughter
while whelving matter

I am the she
quietly bleeding
from scars she hid

I am the she
alleging tenacity
illuding her sanity

I am the she
another smiling mask
in the world that’s false

Yes, I am the she
not one of a she,
only another she.
