Never Fade Away

Did you lose the book
that held my words
or carelessly trade it for the moonlight?
Did you forget
that it was inscribed with the kind of love
that will never fade away?
I cannot hold on
to winter blossoms wild and free
for it is not a fair analogy,
nor a tiger that must roam,
instead, my words
will always speak
my titanic truth alone.
