Poem
Sisterhood Understood
A poetic blessing for a beautiful friend

Sister, mother, daughter
she plays all of these and none
in the harmonies and symphonies
holding, enfolding
into we as one
Hand in hand, listening
through a pixelated brane
to whispered trees and begging bees
susurrate, resuscitate
on knees in vain
Hammock crocheted of heartstrings
she carries, sways and sweeps
soothing sleep, our tears to keep
sisterhood, understood
we weep
For my beloved Lisa Alletson in celebration of her landmark birthday!
