Spring
The laughs and the thrills
Were the daffodils,
Springing up everywhere.
Such a vibrant scene it was.
Every day there was excitement
As the growth within us and
The growth around us
All morphed into one.
No heights seemed out of reach
Back then.
In fact, it felt as if we were
Already grown, tall above it all.
The weather outside was insignificant.
The sun was always shining,
Brought to life
Through the combination of our souls.
Daffodils don’t dance through every season,
But keep your mind on their bulbs in the ground
When your harsher months come round,
And you can always look forward
To another bloom.
