A New Year
A new me they say.

Eyes watch the water hit the ground
As it has always done for so long.

Will this be any different?

I can’t help, but be a little suspicious
A little apprehensive
A little skittish
A little fearful

But to walk in fear
Is to allow life to run past me.

It is a complex network of understanding
How the soul and the mind work in tandem.

Like everyone else, A New Year
Brings all news challenges.
All burdens and yet,
All new stories and,
All new chapters.

I guess it’s time to start writing.
