Write On

Write away for good

Give them nothing to talk about and they won’t.
Give them nothing to feel about and they won’t latch on.
Give them nothing and expect no good, but certainly nothing bad.
Just nothingness, where silence, momentary stillness, even loneliness bursts into one.

You learned this the hard way,
but you don’t have anyone else but yourself.
Even when you’re surrounded by all the familiar places,
and going home to that one heartache you called true love,
you’ll always end up with you before bed.
The first, last, and everything in between.
You, yourself, and no one else.

So do what you do best: write.
As much as you can, to yourself; no matter how much it hurts.
Write,
without expecting any audience.
Write
like your life depends on it.

For you, yourself — would always listen best, and
you won’t ever have to feel like you’re alone.

Write,
so you won’t feel anything ever again.
