Whenever I see the color green, two things come to mind — the energy of the heart chakra and healing foods. First we will discuss the heart chakra.

In contrast to popular belief, the color of the energy that flows from the heart is not red or pink; it is a vibrant green. I mean, I know where the concept that links hearts and the colors red and pink come from — it is the blood — but that has nothing to do with the color of the energy. Every chakra is associated with a color aura, and with the heart chakra, the green aura is associated with healing, growth, balance and love.

Green is considered a cool, calming shade in color psychology as its frequency has short wavelengths. It symbolizes peace, nature, renewal, and health and evokes a feeling of abundance and generosity, two of the primary qualities of the heart chakra. Additionally, the color’s negative associations include jealousy and a judgemental attitude, which people with blocked heart chakras may feel.
