Michał is a composer, producer and sound artist. Creates electroacoustic music combining electronically prepared sounds with acoustic instruments (several solo albums). He also works with other artists, in a variety of media including video, visual art, choreography and photography. Composes movie scores for FILM and live theatre music. Member of Polish Society for Electroacoustic Music. Member Of Polish Film Academy. Lives in Gdansk, Poland.

In September 2022, we invited Michael to come and epxlore the Wave Field Synthesis System at the A+E Lab (and spend some time with us:))
Michael: “When I entered the A+E Lab’s space for the first time I immediately realised how unique and exciting sound adventure is waiting for me here.
My daily work with just two channels stereo system was now going to turn into a 100-channel’s sound distribution experience, operating in professionally designed multi-purpose studio.
Michał: With my new compositions I was able to place music elements in space creating invisible “sound sculpture gallery”, with use of the multi-speaker installation called Wave Field Synthesis.
Michał: After creating 8 multichannel music pieces, together with dancer and A+E Lab co-director Esteban Lecoq we started to adapt these tracks to Esteban’s new choreography ideas — making first germs of future dance production.
Michał: This one-week residency at A+E Lab had passed too quick.
And it did inded! But that was just the begining.
It is amazing to see how easier it is for artists to get together and just get on with it when you have the A+E Lab and the way we set it up (Tap tap on my shoulder 😂)
Really enjoyed our time with Michał. And cannot wait to come back together to continue this adventure.
