Et Voila!

A brand new custom (self) build kitchen! Pfwee that wasn’t easy task but crucial for A+E Lab’s life.

I believe it is important to have a great kitchen to nicely eat, drink coffee and tea or simply break out and socialise. I have to say the room itself is perfect for it! The courtyard and it’s view on the estuary, next to it makes it look great!

So what about this kitchen…

It has a custom main island on wheels! Which host an induction hob, oven and a place for at least 10 people seating comfortably with enough space between each.

To treat the metal, I did grind > weld the wheel (by our friend Mark) > primer > paint.
Then make a worktop with the hole for the hob.

I tiled the worktop for hygiene but as well for easy way to clean it. The wheels to wheel it outside and cook if need it. Ho yes, I forgot to mention that the grout is fluorescent because why not to have a grid in the night! 😅
Also for the tile, we put our Φ logo in.

We also made 6 custom stools with the help of our friend and a talented engineer Mark.

Then, we did the worktop for the sink, which also host the dishwasher underneath. What I did was buying 2 IKEA metal shelves that was similar to the metal frame of the island and cut a worktop to the size we wanted. Cutted the holes for the sink and that was done!

On the opposite side of the room I made a floating shelve for the Gaggia Coffee machine generously sponsored by Gaggia UK.
Our coffee machine is a bean to cup, Magenta Plus. During lockdown, we bought this machine so we could have easy but tasty coffee.

We also use their original blend coffee beans, Espresso 100% Arabica which makes non-sour espresso!

And a custom built bar on wheel with space to store underneath and a chalk paint on the top.

The Kitchen will be where our Hi-Tech Garden will start from. Greens to be added to the brick wall and extend to the courtyard.

In the mean time, we received Wave Field Synthesis System by Game of Life from Netherland.

To be continued…!
