Convolution Reverb

So!!! This is such a cool sound design tool; convolution reverb.

It basically processes sound with reverb that emulates the ‘impulse response’ of an actual or virtual acoustic space, creating the impression that the sound was actually recorded in that space. That probably isn’t the most accurate definition but anyway;

This tutorial is such a nice example of what convolution reverb can do in terms of things like drum processing, the guy takes the sound of a snare for example, and processes it through the ‘impulse response’ of water, giving it a totally different timbre and sound quality.

Definitely going to try this out.
